…continuing from Part 1
I hope that the first 5 trends have gotten you excited. If you have not seen it, go check it out after you have seen these next 5 menswear trends come Spring Summer 2012.

With the warmer weather comes a lighter material and softer tailoring to allow you to sport sartorial excellence. The soft silhouettes, unlined jackets and loose low-rise trousers are great to keep cool in the summer heat, and perfect for the laid back attitude of the season . With linen, washed cotton and soft denim, you can leave them naturally with the crumpled relaxed look.

In the recent seasons, tailoring has undergone a transformation and traditional proportions, especially in classic menswear, have been altered resulting in shorter blazers and top, raising the waistline. My advise though is to wear this trend only if you already have good proportions – skip this trend if you are 5′ 4″ and below. Seriously.

Summer plaids and checks provide a perfect alternative to the louder tropical prints in the summer. They are available from very subtle hues of neutrals to eye popping brights. If you are daring, wear them big and loud, but for a some subtle effect, pair it with a neutral monochromatic color.

Much like the skinny pants , the cropped pants has been the hot trend for the past few seasons. While the skinny trend is slowly giving way to a more relaxed and comfortable cut, the rage for the cropped pants continues. Runway shows all over were stomped by models in ankle cropped trousers, from classic suit pants to relaxed summer trousers. This trend perfectly complements another hot trend and emphasis on men’s shoes in the recent years.

Finally, no summer will be complete without some bold, flamboyant prints. Across the runways, designers experimented with kaleidoscopes of prints and colors, there is really something for everyone.
So there you have it, all 10 key trends to look out for in Spring Summer 2012. (Click here if you missed the first 5 trends)
