If you are visiting Singapore, or just looking for some interesting place to shop here, do take a walk along Duxton Road at Tanjong Pagar (sandwiched between Singapore’s famous gay distinct and clubs like Taboo and Play). Amongst the rolls of beautifully conserved pre-war colonial shop houses, you will find many small cafes (perfect for chilling out), creative design agencies, bridal studios and lifestyle stores.

One store that you should definitely check out is Ernest Seah Studio, a brand created by designer Ernest Seah. Since 2004, Ernest Seah has created his own range of products that is inspired by his years of working in New York City as a designer and make up artist. Ernest’s design philosophy stands strong in bold flamboyant colours and glamour. An insight that is certainly rare and hard to replicate in the Asian fashion scene. Ernest’s products are made for those who share a love for quality and colours.

The store carries an interesting range of products all designed by Ernest from jewellery, bags to a skincare range under skincare brand ‘Erno’. My favorite has got to be his bags that comes in a wide range of colors and style, there is something for everyone. All bags are made in San Francisco from the finest material and carefully designed to the last details. Each bag was designed perfectly the Asian body such as handle straps that are not too long ( every own a tote bag that hangs so close to the floor you need to flex your arms perpetually?)

Right now, Ernest Seah has private design dens in United States (302, 14th Street 8th Ave, New York, NY10011) and Asia(16 Duxton Road, Singapore 089482).
