Tell us about yourself and what you do.

I’ve been in the fitness industry for 8 years. I was a model and a former Manhunt winner — I was the overall winner in 2012. That was when I became a full-fledged fitness personnel. Besides being a personal trainer, I am now also a physique competitor.

What is your IG style, inspiration and theme?

I don’t really have a style. I don’t take fancy photos nor edit them to perfection. As such, you could say my style is being as real as I can. I like to share the realities of my life, so that my followers can relate better to me. Most of my content is on fitness and I also have my own YouTube channel called Fit o’clock, where the content is richer and more elaborate.

How do you engage with your followers and keep growing the numbers?

I think every follower is an asset and I am thankful for all the support each has given me, big or small. Without followers, online personalities and influencers are really nothing. I try my best to like or reply all the comments I receive, including the private messages, unless they are not constructive. My followers have stuck with me for quite some time. I don’t really have a strategy to increase my followers. I just do what feels right and let nature take its course. I like to keep things organic.

What’s the secret to a great IG photo?

No secret, as I don’t take great IG photos. In fact I am really bad at it.

What is the one rule you live by?

Be real. Or rather as real as you can. Be true to yourself. Of course there are times when we have to stretch our principles a little to accomplish certain tasks, but just be true to yourself and have a clear conscience.
