No, I am not talking about the rubber suit that he wears when he swifts around in his ‘Batmobil’ trying to save the world. I am talking about Bruce Wayne, Batman’s alter ego, and what he wears in latest Batman movie “The Dark Knight Rises”. Giorgio Armani has once again brought his signature style to the character of Bruce Wayne in this much-anticipated finale of the Dark Knight trilogy, which opens in theaters on July 20th.
For this production, Giorgio Armani worked in partnership with acclaimed costume designer Lindy Hemming, who won an Academy Award for her costume designs for “Topsy-Turvy.” Mr. Armani also previously created designs for Bruce Wayne in 2008’s blockbuster “The Dark Knight.”
Playing the character Bruce Wayne, the film’s star Christian Bale wears Giorgio Armani Made to Measure suiting. Mr. Wayne’s elegant wardrobe includes two-button notch collar suits, one in charcoal gray pinstripe and another in medium gray glen plaid, both paired with a variety of shirt and neck tie combinations. The Made to Measure suits feature the traditional customized owner’s label, in this case, Giorgio Armani for Bruce Wayne.
In addition to Christian Bale, Giorgio Armani also outfitted co-stars Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in various Giorgio Armani silhouettes, as well as providing accessories for one of the film’s leading actresses, Anne Hathaway, who plays the notorious Catwoman.
