Following my Top 10 Spring Summer 2012 Menswear trend report, I have selected a list of top designers/brands to feature in my Runway Reviews. To kick off, I am going to start with the Christopher Bailey’s collection for Burberry Prorsum. This season sees Bailey wowing us with yet another brilliant collection leaving me wondering if he can do any wrong. I am all awed by the whole collection – totally spot on with so many talk about items.

Moving on from last season’s Sixties mood,  the SS12 collection is a mashup of influences from beanies to batik tribal prints to Modish parkas and wedgy creepers – think East Village 1977 meets East Berlin 1962. With no details left behind, Bailey placed an emphasis on handcrafted heritage as seen in the pom pom straw caps, woven straw totes and the ultimate ‘it’ shoe this season – the cork sole moccasins.

The Burberry boy is imbued with bohemian charm this season to come.
