Ok, before I go on about the collection, can you promise to play the video and watch this show below? I just have to say that the music, the staging and the choreography are immaculately put together – and I am so jealous that one of my friend was actually at the show seated in the audience.

Well anyway, yes, the Spring Summer 2012 Menswear Collection for Etro is an escapist’s dream, from the Swiss Mountain and the “cow-inspired”  Fall 11 collection, we are now transported to Au Bord Da L’eau ( By the Water, if I am not wrong) – inspired by shoreline walks and the French Riviera. Quintessentially Etro, the labels’ signature motif, paisley, was everywhere, from dusty, printed, cotton pants under conventional blazers, or blown-up for floaty shirt-weight blazers. Kean Etro, the label’s menswear creative director has created yet another print-filled collection full of rich colors mixed with loud checks, pot-a-dots and strips – the great example of luxury flamboyance.

While some may find some pieces loud,  it is actually an incredibly chic collection and definitely a favourite for the stylish Italian men. I would say that Etro Summer 2012 is for the man seeking a little adventure with his wardrobe or perhaps a touch of the ostentatious, worned bohemian style with that laid back heaven can care attitude. That’s the spirit. Viva Italia . . . ! (Now play the video clip.)
