Do you find yourself travelling more frequently than you wish for on business trips? And does packing for your trip frustates you as you try to keep your luggage to the minimal without having to lug a ‘trunkload’ of clothes – after all it is a short buiness trip.

You can still look your best and professional by planning well and knowing a few simple tips.

For a start, pack a few  white (or neutral coloured) shirts, a grey or navy blue suits and a few extra ties in your bag – they come in really handy when you need a quick change to give your outfit a different look. Ties are generally easier and light to pack into your bags as well. Simply follow these simple ways of packing your ties and you will arrive at your destiniation with little to worry about.

1) The first method involves winding the necktie around your hand and placing it in a corner of your luggage where it will not get squashed.

2) In method two, the rolled-up necktie is placed inside the neck of a shirt.

3) Method three requires folding the necktie in half lengthwise and laying it on top. Alternatively, it can be placed on the bottom of the suitcase where it will remain flat.

4) A fourth option is to purchase a special necktie travel case.

One way or another, it is prudent to take several neckties along on business trips. Apart from anything else, a necktie could be put out of action as a result of becoming stained. In order to minimize this risk, some travelers prefer to take dark neckties along on their travels since small marks remain relatively inconspicuous. It is also wise to opt for neckties made of somewhat less delicate Jacquard silk so that splashes can, if necessary, be removed with the blade of a knife.
