If you were in shopping at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands recently, you would have noticed changes in many of store location, and one of them is Saint Laurent. The Parisian luxury brand moved it’s current single store location over to a bigger duplex, at a more prominent space alongside other luxury brands like Bottega Veneta and Dior Homme.

This new location also marks the first Saint Laurent store in Singapore with an architecture and design concept conceived by Hedi Slimane – which he has introduced as a physical embodiment of the brand’s realigned visual identity.

The store architecture and design is best described as a modern, 21st Century Art Deco. The predominantly monochrome space exploits slabs of the finest ‘noir soie’ and ‘blanc statuaire’ marble, where its natural veining retain a purity of form and a geometric rigor. Speaking of geometry, the precise mathematical repetition of the clean vertical and horizontal lines of display cases, shelves and strip lighting adds a dramatic visual rhythm to the space, and creating a wonderful contrast to the beautiful products on display.

To tease the fans, the Saint Laurent duplex store at Marina Bays Sands opened its door to the 1st Level (on Basement 2 of the mall) on the Nov 7 carrying a good collection of men’s and women’s RTW and accessories.

Stay tune for more news on its grand opening of the duplex store. We can’t wait.
