ROLIAT (spelled ‘Tailor’ backward) by HONG SUNG WAN opened the men’s show season with a collection inspired by the Royal Flying Corps plays on the designer’s recreation of traditional tailoring with his wit and practicality in a contemporary sense, resulting in a military rich collection.
VANHART DI ALBAZAR by DUYOUNG JUNG
The brand VanHart di Albazar is strongly influenced by an Italian style with a collection inspired the works of the Greek-born Italian artist, seeing the interpretation of the Italian Surrealist and his intense coloration into a taste of surreal and asymmetric wit, with rich tailored layering, asymmetric and color blocking details to express the witty style. Fabrics are textured wool, neoprene, asymmetric print on silver fox fur and finn raccoon natural fur. The collection emotes a strong European luxury tone.
BEYOND CLOSET by TAE YONG
After being made to queue in a line, hoping to get a front row seats at the BEYOND CLOSET show, all guests were surprised to enter the fashion show ground to be greeted by an installation setup with models posing in the center of the hall. Everyone quickly realised that that was it – there is no runway parade or seats – and started crowding around the installation. The title of this seasons’ collection is L.M.L(Last Military Leave). Inspired by designer memory of his military days, he expressed the freedom of a soldier who is on the last vacation before being discharged.
SLING STONE by PARK JUNG CHUL
SLING STONE designer Park Jung Chul attempts to recreate vintage style from the 50s-70s with a modern twist in this FW14 collection as models walks down the runway to a familiar retro tune, MY WAY. Highlights include vintage jackets, and luxurious trench coat in cool tones of black, gray, navy, natural and white.
