On May 16, British brand Topman will launch its collaborative collection with emergent East End brand, Agi & Sam. The collection will be available online and in Topman stores. MAN, a joint venture between Topman and Fashion East, has provided support for the design duo over the last three seasons. The same association also helped launch the careers of J.W Anderson and Christopher Shannon.

The capsule collection consisting of 20 pieces combines the designers’ two loves – all-over print and tailoring – with a young twist favoured by Topman’s clientele. The collection is based on the idea of a fictional football club called “The Owls” and was inspired by the transformation of London’s East End following the 2012 Olympic Games.

Agape Mdumulla and Sam Cotton first met whilst they were interning at the Alexander McQueen design studio and quickly earned a reputation on the British menswear scene, winning over many niche boutiques and larger department stores like Liberty’s and Harvey Nichols, for whom they ccreated a mini womenswear collection. The design-duo will present their Spring-Summer 2014 collection in London next month at London Collections: Men.
