The unique concept store dedicated to showcasing the much-anticipated Louis Vuitton-Yayoi Kusama collection officially opened to the public on Sunday, July 15, 2012, and feature the most extensive collaboration to date; with a full collection consisting of ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories – such as textiles and sunglasses, shoes, a watch, a charm as well as book editions.

The Louis Vuitton: 100 Legendary Trunks application provides a wonderful breakaway through the most beautiful creations of the Maison. Entirely adapted from the book Louis Vuitton: 100 Legendary Trunks, enhanced with videos, sound clips, unpublished texts and documents, this application goes back over 150 years of history through a hundred or so varied and surprising pieces of luggage, which witness the art of travel as well as the fascinating adventures of their owners.
Taipei 101 gets her own Louis Vuitton Maison
On May 3, a fashion event of the year took part at Taipei 101, as the architectural landmark saw the inauguration of Louis Vuitton’s newest Maison. The high profile event had international leading lady Maggie Cheung making her DJ debut, an exclusive dinner featuring 101 dignitaries, highly influential in Taiwan, and a gala party with the most glamorous guests.

All eye are on Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2012 as it debuts the first collection from Kim Jones, after he became the Men’s Style and Studio Director for the brand. For his debut collection with Vuitton, he goes back to the travel heritage of the brand, with sailor and African safari theme and an inspiration from to Peter Beard, the artist and long -term chronicler of East Africa and its wildlife.

Asia’s new male supermodel – Godfrey Gao
I first set eyes on Godfrey Gao (高以翔) on a Taiwanese variety show as an up-and-coming actor promoting a Taiwanese drama, MOMO LOVE in 2009. He was not even the lead actor in the show but when I saw him , I knew that someday this unusually tall(195cm, wow!)and extraordinary handsome actor is going to bigger than he will ever know. Fast forward 2 years later and Godfrey is turning heads and gracing covers of many fashion magazines. But none of these as grand as the attention he is getting from being the first Asian male model to appear on a Louis Vuitton ad campaign in it’s Spring/Summer 2011 Ready-To-Wear campaign.
